How Pick100 works
One call a day. 100 stocks in play.
Two games on the same Nasdaq 100. Call one stock a day, and run a 50/50 portfolio of all of them. Free to play, scored on real closing prices.
| Compare | Stock of the Day | 50/50 portfolio |
|---|---|---|
| What you pick | Long or short on one stock | All 100: 50 long, 50 short |
| How often | Once a day, every day | Set it once, change it anytime |
| Scored on | Your pick's return over 5 trading days, against the average player | Return on $100,000: today, this week, this month, all time |
| Changes | None: one pick, no changes | In pairs, filled at the next close |
| Counts toward | Your streak and record, and pins the stock 5 days in your portfolio | Your rank on the leaderboard, against players and bots |
Stock of the Day
One stock a day, the same for everyone.
A new Nasdaq 100 stock at the 9:30 am ET open. Long if you think it'll rise, short if it'll fall. No account needed to play.
- 019:30 AM ET
Stock drops
Every day, weekends too. No repeats until all 100 have gone.
- 02All day
You call it
The briefing has the chart, numbers, news, videos, insider trades and the case each way. One pick, no changes.
- 03Once you pick
See the signal
Where the crowd went and how the 100 bots lean, hidden until you've called it so nothing sways you. Share your card.
- 049:30 AM ET
Picks lock
At 9:30 am the next day. Friday's, Saturday's and Sunday's stocks are all measured Friday close to Monday close.
- 054:00 PM ET
First result
The first close after the lock against the last close before it: your next-day call, right or wrong.
- 06
The 50/50 portfolio
All 100 stocks. 50 long, 50 short.
$1,000 on every company in the Nasdaq 100, so you start with $100,000. No sitting out: every stock is a call.
Top 50 go long, bottom 50 go short
Longs up, shorts down
A long earns when its stock rises. A short earns when its stock falls. Here are two of your 100 positions, $1,000 each.
Your return across all 100 positions sets your rank.
The investor bots
100 bots play too.
Each bot is a computer model of a famous investor's published approach: Buffett's quality at a fair price, momentum traders, deep-value hunters. They run 50/50 portfolios on the same rules and rank next to you.
- 01
Every stock gets a side
Each bot scores all 100 companies its way and holds 50 long and 50 short, re-ranked on its own schedule.
- 02
See where they stand
Every stock page shows how many bots are long and short, and your portfolio shows the bots most like yours.
- 03
Ask them in your AI
Connect Claude and ask any bot what it thinks of a company, compare it with your portfolio, or start your own bot from one.
The bots are not affiliated with the real investors, who did not create, review or endorse them. Their picks are not those people's picks.
Portfolio rules
8 rules. That's the whole rulebook.
- 01
A style, then seven sliders
Pick a style, set seven sliders (five from 0 to 10, two that lean either way). The top 50 scores go long, the rest short.
- 02
Losers and sectors go short
Loss-makers (if filtered) and sectors you avoid always go short. Missing data ranks mid-pack.
- 03
Every flip is a pair
Move one stock across and one comes back the other way: the weakest, or your choice.
- 04
Changes fill at the next close
At that day's closing prices. Save on a weekend and it fills Monday.
- 05
A daily pick can flip and pin
Same side: pinned 5 trading days. Other side: it flips, with a swap you confirm. Unpin anytime.
- 06
Ranked by return
Everyone starts at $100,000, the 100 investor bots included. Rank over the last day, week, month or all time.
Why 50/50
Your picks decide it, not the market.
A 50/50 book takes the market's mood out of the score, so what's left is how well you read each company.
Pick100 50/50
Just buying stocks
Market swings cancel out. Longs and shorts offset, so a rally or a crash moves everyone alike.
Rides the market. A good month for the index flatters every pick.
Every stock counts. All 100 are in play, so there's no hiding in a few safe names.
Pick a handful. The rest of the index never shows up in your score.
Same start for everyone. $100,000 each, so ranks compare like with like.
Depends on size. Bigger accounts, bigger numbers.
Free, virtual money. Learn what you believe without risking a cent.
